The innocence of freedom is beautiful, yet it’s costly and someone has to pay the cost. Freedom is not free. Therefore, someone had to fight for it and defend it. Freedom always requires a high cost and it comes with the ultimate sacrifice.
Jesus paid the ultimate sacrifice for our redemption and salvation. Therefore, our salvation is free.
However, if you want to live a life of freedom, it will cost you everything. You will have to lay your life down for Jesus and surrender your will to His Word. It will be the greatest sacrifice you have ever made.
What freedom are you fighting for?
Are you fighting for your life, marriage, family, peace, healing, or financial freedom?
Freedom in my mind has been my greatest breakthrough and asset.
I have fought for freedom in my mind for years, and I am forever thankful for the sacrifice and peace I have found in Jesus. I learned:
- From each experience – good and bad;
- How to get back up again;
- To not throw my hands up and quit;
- Not surrender to the lies; and ultimately
- Rise above my circumstance and build my identity around who God says I am.
“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me, “Says the LORD (Isaiah 54:17 NKJV).
The opposite of freedom is bondage.
I am assuming you might know what that feels like. It’s crippling. It’s tormenting. Bondage is controlling and a thief. The longer you allow the bondage to hold you captive, the deeper the pain and stronghold will become.
You can break free from bondage.
There is always a way out. There is freedom for you. You don’t have to live in bondage and pass it down to your children and grandchildren.
Freedom begins with YOU!
Freedom begins when you are sick and tired of being in bondage and you’re willing to do something about it. Due to difficult times in your childhood or adult life, people learn to build walls as a protective mechanism from being hurt or wounded. We build walls to protect our minds and our hearts, from that person, that horrible experience, however, too many times in life, the wounds and experiences are repeated over and over again.
If the pain is extremely difficult to process, it’s common to bury it deep down inside with the hopes of never thinking about it again. However, it doesn’t go away.
I want to talk about freedom. Real freedom.
I want you to encounter freedom not just for a moment but for a lifetime. If you could just taste it. Just one moment, it will awaken hope inside of you. Just a glimmer of hope will wake you up inside. Hope will encourage you to breathe again. Hope will encourage you to keep reaching for truth. I am not teaching you something that I have not encountered for myself. It’s real. It’s sustaining.
The foundation of truth is the Word of God.
The Holy Bible is a love story from God to us.
His Word teaches us about life, love, trust, correction, forgiveness, and repentance. The more we trust the Lord and believe His Word is true, the more we will begin to love the things Jesus loves and hate the things Jesus hates. We will become more like Him and desire to live according to His word.
Your desires will begin to change. One by one.
I am here to testify that the Lord is a safe place and I encourage you to begin building your own history with God. The key word is building. It takes time to build a relationship and you must be willing to invest your time, mind, heart, and will. If you are going to commit, I charge you to be fully committed.
That’s what freedom feels like. Fully committed!
In my opinion, freedom is living a life fully abandoned to trust the Lord in every way. I am free to live my life and apply His word. It begins with spending quality time with the Lord in prayer, worship, and reading the Word.
It requires your investment. You have to want it!
Do you want to be at peace in your mind?
To love freely?
To forgive freely?
Healing is available in God’s presence. I am not against medication, counseling, or mentoring but everything should point you back to Jesus. One moment in God’s presence will do more than years of medication and counseling.
Freedom is a two-way street. Me and Jesus and Jesus and me.
Living Free
Once you are set free, it’s equally as important to stay free. It’s a strategic process of trusting the Lord with your everyday life. Taking one moment and one day at a time. I truly believe, discovering who you are is critical. Learning what makes you tick. How you think and process will be something you work on for the rest of your life.
Being set free is one thing. But staying free is real freedom.
Embrace the journey ahead of you and allow the Lord to teach you, shape you, and rearrange your thoughts to line up with His Word. It’s absolutely freeing. Stop trying to figure it all out. Stop trying to control your life.
Cast your cares on the Lord and allow Him to show you the way. Healing is freeing. It’s empowering. It’s not all about you…it’s all about trusting Jesus.
I testify all the time about what God has done in my life and with everything in me, I want you to be free. I hate to see anyone struggle with bondage of any kind. It’s not God’s will.
I can teach you many things, but I can’t make you want it. I can’t make you commit to the process. That is up to you.
