There is a raging war against your soul and the point of entry is your mind.
The enemy will try every angle he can to tear down the walls of your belief system and destroy your mind. He knows that if he can weaken your belief system it will ultimately crumble, then he will have access to every area of your life.
Don’t be afraid, “Because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world (John 4:4, KJV).”
Awareness is powerful, and it awakens your eyes to see, ears to hear, and your spirit to be aware of the war all around you. Awareness to God’s truth and authority will empower you to:
- Walk in freedom;
- Take your territory back;
- Retrieve everything that was stolen;
- Protect and defend your belief system and your mind.
You have full authority to be the gatekeeper of your mind.
It takes faith to walk in your kingdom authority. It’s up to you to exercise your faith and dare to believe God’s Word is true.
One example of great faith is in Mark 5 when the synagogue ruler, Jarius begged Jesus to come and pray over his daughter that was dying.
“And when he saw Him, he fell at His feet and begged Him earnestly, saying, ‘My little daughter lies at the point of death. Come and lay Your hands on her, that she may be healed, and she will live (Mark 5:22-23, NKJV’).”
As Jesus was walking with Jarius to his house, a huge crowd was following them. Through the multitude, a woman with an issue of blood reached for Jesus’ garment in desperation to be healed. Jesus felt the healing virtue go out from Him and she was healed.
I can only imagine how Jarius must have felt in his own desperation, as he waited on Jesus as He ministered to the woman with the issue of blood. Celebrating one miracle while he was waiting for his daughter’s miracle… and time was ticking.
Faith is always the hardest – in the waiting!
“While Jesus was still speaking, some people came from the house of Jarius, the synagogue leader. ‘Your daughter is dead,’ they said. ‘Why bother the teacher any more?’
Overhearing what they said, Jesus told him, ‘Don’t be afraid; just believe’ (Mark 5:35-36, NIV).”
I love that Jesus spoke a word before Jarius was able to fully respond. Jesus charged him to believe against all fear.
Jarius had to trust and believe that:
- Jesus was able to heal his daughter;
- That God was more than enough;
- His daughter would live again;
- Against all odds;
- While his faith was on trial before the entire city.
I can only assume that was the longest walk of Jarius’ life.
- What would you do?
- How would you respond if you were Jarius?
- How would you respond if you were in the crowd?
When they approached the home, the people were crying and wailing. Jesus commanded all of them to leave. They mocked Him because He said, “The child is not dead but asleep.”
I would have loved to have encountered every. single. moment.
Wow, I bet the atmosphere was so charged with faith – it only took one word.
“Jesus took her by the hand and said to her, ‘Talitha koum!’ (which means ‘Little girl, I say to you, get up! Mark 5:41, NIV’).”
Immediately, the girl stood up.
I hope your faith is stirred and charged with excitement. If Jesus will do it for Jarius, He will do it for you!!!
- What are you afraid of right now?
- What has died in your life?
- Don’t be afraid, just believe!!!
It’s a choice, so be willing to walk on that journey with Jesus back to your place of death… back to that thing that seems dead in your life.
- Remove all the doubters from the room;
- Stand over it; and
- Declare for it to rise.
Use your authority as you stand on the Word of God and watch what God will do.
Don’t be afraid, just believe!!!
