Desperate measures require desperate FAITH…
So many people are in desperate need of a miracle. I am talking about a REAL miracle in their marriage, family, finances, job, health, children, broken heart, a wayward son or daughter. Have you ever been there? Are you there right now?
I am reminded of a powerful story in the Bible today (Luke 8:40-56) and how it all began with BELIEVING FOR A MIRACLE. Jairus, a synagogue ruler in Jesus day was facing his greatest fear as his only daughter was dying, and he was in desperate need of a miracle. Unusual as it was, this respected synagogue ruler humble in faith was desperate for Jesus, the miracle worker to heal his daughter. I can only imagine his heart racing as he searched frantically in the city for Jesus. When he found him, he fell at Jesus feet and pleading with him to come to his house. As Jesus was walking within a large crowd on his way to their house, he was interrupted with another desperate need…
If you have ever needed a miracle, the last thing you want is an INTERRUPTION… the longer it takes, the greater the anxiety, and the greater the urgency!
The interruption was the supernatural healing of a woman that had been tormented for 12 years with the issue of blood. Her desperation risked her life and God heard her cry of desperation and set her free.
While Jesus was communicating with her… news came from the Jairus’s home. He announced not to bother the teacher any longer, because your daughter is dead. Hearing this, Jesus immediately turned to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid, JUST BELIEVE, and she will be healed.”
How do you believe in the midst of… “It’s too late”… “It’s Over”
I speak life into your situation right now and bind up the spirit of FEAR. You may have encountered many interruptions as you continue waiting on your miracle. Don’t get weary, don’t faint but stand on His Word and BELIEVE… Jesus is on the way to YOUR HOUSE! Just like the end of this story, Jesus walks into that room and wakes Jairus’s daughter from the dead… against all odds. Jesus is NOT TOO LATE.
Don’t be afraid… just BELIEVE!
