Steal, Kill, and Destroy

John 10:10 (NKJV)
10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

No matter the storm, trial, mountain or valley, it is always the same tactic and strategy of the enemy… The enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy. He preys on any opportunity to take advantage and attack when you are weak, sick or wounded.

I have a word of encouragement that will empower you to stand your ground and take back what the enemy has stolen.

We have all been wounded at one time or another in our lives. Following the incident or pattern of events in your life…the seed was planted. Planted in your mind was the seed of insecurity, fear, or shame. Just like any seed, it will germinate and the plant will grow bigger and the roots will grow deeper. The seed of insecurity, fear, or shame will germinate and become rooted in your mind to limit you, restrict you, and ultimately paralyze you.

​​The second half of that verse states, ‘I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.’ This is your promise and your true victory war cry! You do not always have control over your storms and trials in your life, but one day you will have to make a choice. The choice is to take control over what you think and meditate on… your mind is what feeds your belief system… and your belief system is what feeds your actions. So if I turn that around and you want to change your actions…you must change your belief system… and to change your belief system, you must change your mindset.

You must draw the line in the sand and take back your life. If you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you have the resurrection power living on the inside of you. You can pray all you want, but until you make the decision… you will live with that muzzle on your mouth. I have had to fight for my mind and take authority over my thoughts and emotions since I was a young girl. They want to run out of control like a wild mustang but you have the power to harness them and make them line up with the Word of God.

The battlefield entry point is always your mind and you have to take authority over what you think and what has access into your thought life. Yes, you have authority over the gateway and no longer can you allow the enemy to torment your mind and life. No matter where you have been or who has hurt you, the choice is yours.

I have a saying, “The enemy desires to ultimately destroy you, but if he can cause you to self destruct… it will affect and wound more people in the aftermath of destruction along the way.” I truly believe self-destruction is one of the greatest tragedies we are facing in our culture. It is like a run away train.

Pastor John Hagee says, “There comes a time in every life when quitting looks good. When problems seem insurmountable…when giants seem unbeatable…when mountains seem unmovable…when defeat seems inescapable…when retreat seems the only option! Remember: It’s always too soon to quit!”
